ARK Eastleigh mobilises volunteers to help and support people in our Community
Volunteers are what help make a difference
ARK Eastleigh's volunteers show kindness in practical ways, supporting around 80 plus people that live in our local community. We aim to support and enable those who are experiencing difficulties through practical help and one-to-one support.

Meet the staff behind ARK Eastleigh
ARK currently employs two members of staff on a part-time basis
Senior Team Leader
I have worked in Pastoral Care in the church for many years and love seeing people empowered to be all that they can be. We often undervalue small acts of kindness, but they are the things that make a difference. I am excited to work with ARK in seeing Eastleigh loved and cared for. I am married to Jeremy, we have three adult children and for many years I cared for our disabled daughter. I am a member of Thrive Church.
I enjoy finding ways in which faith can be expressed through social action. I have worked within the Community Voluntary Sector for the last 10 years, having been a primary teacher before that. I’m involved in pastoral work at my local church where I help to run a mental health support group. I live in Fair Oak with my wife and we have two grown-up daughters and a lovely granddaughter.
Meet the Trustees of Ark Eastleigh
The trustees are responsible for the policies, procedures, and oversight of the activities of ARK, ensuring that ARK is operating in a safe, ethical and sustainable way and that our activities continue to meet our overriding charitable objectives.
Chair of Trustees
I worked for Southampton City Council for fifteen years working in local communities and supporting people.
I am passionate about ARK Eastleigh as we offer hope to those facing difficult situations and empower people to take positive steps in their lives.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching football and meeting up with friends and family.
Trustee - Marketing & Fundraising
I am a Freelance Writer with a passion for mental health and pastoral care. I enjoy being part of the ARK Eastleigh team, delivering practical support to those in need. I have lived in Southampton since graduating in 2015, and I’m currently planning my wedding to my partner of nearly seven years, Chris.
I am a retired IT Consultant, married to Sue, and live in central Eastleigh. I am an active member of a twelve-step fellowship and passionately believe that recovery from addictions is possible by the grace and power of God. I am committed to the principles of ARK Eastleigh, whose work I believe is vital to the community, and as Secretary to the Trustees, I can utilise my admin skills for maximum benefit.
Trustee - Treasurer
I am an operations manager for a local charity in Southampton and I have a number of years of experience as a charity. I live in Bishopstoke with my wife Julie; we have three adult children. I am also involved with Eastleigh Basics Bank, providing food and other basics to those who need it in the Eastleigh borough.
I believe the church has a responsibility to support and encourage the local community, and ARK is an excellent example of local Christians from a number of churches coming together to provide support and kindness to people in our community who need it. It is a privilege to be a part of ARK both as treasurer and as a volunteer.
Trustee - Safeguarding
I retired from selling Christian Books and Cards in 2012 and I am a lifelong member of the Boys' Brigade. I now devote some of my time as Pastoral Chair for them in and around South West Hampshire and the IOW area. I am married with two grown-up children and three grandchildren, Jenny and I live in Bishopstoke and are members of Eastleigh Health walks. ARK has a real passion for helping and supporting the vulnerable in society and it's a privilege to be a part of the team.
Trustee - Advisor
I work as an operations director for a local homelessness charity, working in this sector since 2005. I have been on the board of a number of charities and it is my passion to see people helped and cared for. The local community is really important to me. I am a returning Trustee as I was part of the original team that formed the charity. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
